πŸ” Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on AcudocX – QR Code Help

When you activate your AcudocX profile as a provider or agency, you must set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).This is an important security requirement to protect your account, certification stamp, and customer documents.
Setting up 2FA involves scanning a QR code using a trusted authentication app.
If you're having trouble scanning the QR code, or your phone is trying to open it with the wrong app, here’s how to fix the problem and complete your setup.

πŸ“± What’s Happening?
Some mobile phones (across different brands like Samsung, Apple, Pixel, etc.) may automatically try to open the QR code using:

A default camera app

A browser

A wallet or payment app

A QR reader app

These apps will not work for setting up your Two-Factor Authentication for AcudocX.You must use a dedicated Authenticator App.

πŸ›  What You Should Do
Option 1: Open Your Authenticator App Manually

Do not click on the QR code directly if another app tries to open it.

Open your Authenticator App manually. Examples include:

Google Authenticator (recommended)

Microsoft Authenticator

Authy

Duo Mobile

Within your Authenticator App, select:

Add an Account or

Scan a QR Code

Use the app’s scanning feature to scan the AcudocX QR code directly.

βœ… Once scanned, the app will start generating 6-digit authentication codes for your AcudocX account.

Option 2: Enter the Setup Key Manually
If scanning the QR code doesn’t work:

Look for the Manual Entry Key displayed near the QR code on AcudocX.

Open your Authenticator App.

Select Enter a Setup Key or Manual Entry.

Enter:

Account Name (e.g., AcudocX)

Secret Key (shown on your AcudocX screen)

Choose Time-Based authentication if prompted.

βœ… This will link your AcudocX account to your Authenticator App without scanning.

🚩 Important Tips

Always use a dedicated authenticator app β€” not the camera app, browser, or QR reader.

Save your backup codes (if provided) somewhere secure β€” these allow you to regain access if you lose your device.

Every time you log into AcudocX, you’ll open your authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code it generates.
