π Translators Cannot Abandon Agency Jobs
Abandon Job is not available to translators for agency jobs.
If you are unable to complete the job, your only option is to Surrender.
Only agencies have the authority to abandon jobs.
This ensures that the customer experience and agency reputation are preserved.
π When Should You Surrender a Job?
You should surrender a job if:
You realise you cannot deliver the job within a satisfactory deadline.
You are unable to complete the job due to personal, technical, or capacity issues.
You discover the content is outside your professional expertise after review.
π’ Tip:Always surrender the job as early as possible to allow another translator enough time to claim and complete it.
π How to Surrender an Agency Job
Go to the View Job screen.
Click Surrender at the top of the page.
Confirm the surrender action (you may add an optional reason).
After surrendering:
The job will be returned to the Job Pool.
Other translators assigned to that agency will be able to view and claim the job.
