✍️ Submitting a Job: Self-Service Extract Translation
The Self-Service Extract Translation option allows you to fill in the English translations yourself using our guided interface. This option is ideal for structured documents like birth certificates, driver licences, or academic transcripts.
✅ Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Choose Document Type
Select the document type(s) you need translated.
You may choose more than one if needed.
If the template you need isn't listed, go back and choose Full Translation instead.
Press Next.
2. Upload Your Document
Take a clear, readable photo or upload an existing digital file.
You can upload multiple pages or documents.
Press Next.
3. Adjust Image Orientation
Make sure the image is facing the right way up.
Use the blue rotation button if you need to rotate it.
Press Next.
4. Enter Your Translations
The platform will guide you to each field in your document.
Zoom in and resize the selection box as needed.
On mobile: pinch to zoom and drag to adjust.
On desktop: use the on-screen zoom icons.
To translate a field:
Select the words/phrase on the document that match the highlighted field.
Tap Add Translation.
Enter the English translation, then tap Done.
Repeat for all fields.
If a field is not present on your document, click Skip this field, confirm, and continue.
💡 If you’re unsure about any field, you can leave it blank. Your provider will review and edit as needed.
⚠️ Note on Edits and Fees
If your provider needs to make more edits than their free edit allowance, you may incur additional charges. If you're unsure about your translator’s policy, please message them directly before submitting.
5. Review Your Translation
Check all translations for accuracy.
Once satisfied, press Finish.
6. Review Document Upload
Confirm your document looks correct.
You can add more documents using the plus (+) icon.
Press Finish & Checkout.
7. Finalise Your Order
Review your entire order summary.
If you need a physical copy mailed to you:
Tap Add a hard copy
Enter your postal address.
Press Continue to Checkout.
8. Submit and Pay
Enter your contact details.
Press Pay at the bottom to complete your order.
🎉 Job Submitted!
Congratulations — your job has been submitted to your translator.
From your Job Details page, you can now:
