๐Ÿ” What Happens When a Job Is Unassigned or Surrendered?

If a translator is unable to complete a job for any reason, an agency may Unassign the job. This will return the job to the job pool, making it available for other certified translators in that language pair.
This article explains what happens next and whether further action is needed.

๐ŸŸฆ What Does "Unassign" or "Surrender" Do?

When a translator Surrenders a job (or an agency Unassigns it), the job becomes available again in the Job Pool for other qualified translators in that language pair.

Only translators who are certified and active on the platform for that language direction will be able to see and claim the job.

You do not need to send a new offer or take further action to reassign the job manually.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Will AcudocX Notify Other Translators?

AcudocX does not automatically notify all translators about newly surrendered jobs.

However, we routinely send targeted email alerts to reliable, high-performing translators to help the job get picked up faster.

Agencies may also choose to message their trusted translators outside the platform and invite them to check the Job Pool, if necessary.

โœ… What You Should Do

After unassigning a translator, no additional action is required from your end.

The job will remain in the pool until a new translator claims it.

You can monitor unclaimed jobs from your Dashboard under the Unassigned Jobs section.

๐Ÿง  Best Practice

If you know of another translator who is qualified, you can share the job ID with them and ask them to log in and claim it via the Job Pool.

Regularly review your translator relationships to ensure your team is certified in the relevant directions.
